#GivingTuesday

Have you heard of GivingTuesday? It is a huge generosity effort releasing the power of people to transform their communities on December 3, 2019 – and every day. GivingTuesday started in 2012 as a straightforward idea: a day to inspire people to do good. Over the last seven years, that idea has grown into a global movement that inspires millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. It is an amazing giving event. One of the best ways to get involved is in your own community! Last year, supporters like you helped raise $400 million for non-profit organizations in the United States alone.

Farmhouse Animal and Nature Sanctuary is a nonprofit organization working tirelessly every day to make a difference for our animals and our community. We are proud to be part of this global effort. Please consider making a donation on #GivingTuesday so that you can continue to be our partners in caring for farm, domestic and exotic animals.

Giving Tuesday is a vital fundraiser for our organization. Did you know that the cost of one animal at Farmhouse is $7 per week, $30 per month or $348 per year. The cost to care for the animals at Farmhouse is based on feed and preventative care (like farrier, shots, dewormer, etc.) This breaks down to $448 a week, $1920 per month or $23,000 per year for all current animals. This year we ask you to consider Farmhouse Animal and Nature Sanctuary. Save the date and join us on December 3rd, 2019 for the 8th annual #GivingTuesday! Thank you for making a difference.

Every act of generosity counts, and everyone has something to give.

On December 3, 2019, please join the movement and consider Farmhouse Animal and Nature Sanctuary – whether it’s some of your time (volunteer), talent (Are you good with your hands? Can you fix stuff? Don’t mind cleaning up after or feeding animals?) or treasure (a donation). Or, just use the power of your voice in our local community (Tell everyone about the work we do!).

  • Time & Talent: By volunteering, you can give something back, make a difference to the animals, develop new skills, and learn more about issues affecting your community. Volunteering is a great way to share your talent, whether it is creating something with your hands or creating a fundraising campaign, there is something for everyone to do. The right volunteer opportunity can help you reduce stress, find friends, and even start a path to a new career.
  • Voice: You’ve got the power and the passion to transform your community. By lending your voice to advocate for our causes and issues we care about, we can all be activists who affect the kind of change that makes our world a better place. and don’t forget that you can make some of the most meaningful change within your own local community.
  • Treasure: Farmhouse always needs supplies. Think about organizing a donation drive – they’re a great way to rally a group around a cause you all care about, whether that’s your weekend crew, your family, your neighbors, or your officemates. Collect cleaning supplies, food, grooming supplies – just about anything can be the focus of a donation drive. We do have an Amazon Wish List. And don’t forget to take lots of photos along the way: Everyone loves to see a big pile of donated goods as a reward for their work and generosity.

Identify your gifts. Animal welfare is a cause that gets you fired up, right! Give back – not just on December 3 for #GivingTuesday, but every day.
